Cesarean Births Should Not Hold a Stigma

Giving birth has nothing to do with pushing. It is not about the pain. I️t is not about the contractions. It is not about the birth location or the birth team.

Giving birth is about GIVING.

In pregnancy the mother GIVES. She does whatever is necessary to keep her baby healthy. In birth, she does whatever is necessary to bring her baby in to this world the best way possible.

Each birth is unique with different parameters.

Each birth requires different sacrifices from the mother.

Each birth, each mother and each baby has its own plan, needs, and desires.

And each and every time the mother is wiling to do whatever it is that her baby needs.

She GIVES.

And it is in the GIVING that she becomes a mother.
